“ Food was superb. Very healthy portions for good price. Music was very loud, could not hold a conversation. My girlfriend speaks a little Spanish. Without that, there would have been a lot of gesturing and pointing. I was wanded down upon entry, guess there has been some issues in the past? Everyone was very nice though! ”
“ This is one of those hidden gems. It's an authentic hole in the wall with amazing food and friendly service. I'm not sure why others said the service was bad. The food does take a bit, so just expect that. But it's so so good! We've been twice and the food has been excellent both times! The wait staff have been friendly, though it will really help if you speak a bit of Spanish. And we were not over charged, as I did the math. However, if you pay with a card you don't see the itemized receipt--I'm sure you could if you ask. But I just compared the menu prices to the total and I didn't find any issue. ”

“ Our group of 4 had a delicious lunch here today. Our waitress didn't speak any English, and we barely speak Spanish, but we were able to get by and she was very friendly. We ordered a variety of food - baleadas, pupusas, tacos dorados, and platanos maduros. It was all great. We all agreed that the platanos were the best any of us had ever had! I felt like I was back in Honduras - great food, great music, and kind people. We live a couple hours from Durham but I'm sure we will return! ”

In addition, the host Mr. Jeffries provided an excellent welcome to me and my party of 6. Mr. Jeffries kept checking on our party to make certain our needs were addressed.
